So who is this mysterious new couple that has just entered the blogging scene? Well, I’m Adam and the other half of Pergi Dulu is Susan. I’m Australian and Susan is Indonesian and we both love travelling. We’ll be married on June 2 2012 in Bali and plan to hit the road soon after to see the world. First stop is Singapore, followed by Malayasia, New Zealand and Australia. That takes us up until August.
After that, I have to work… in Laos! So Susan and I will both travel to Laos and stay there for 4 months while I research and write for Travelfish, an online guidebook company specialising in SE Asia. So that’s what I do for work right now – I write.
At the moment, Susan teaches English in Bandung, but she plans to have a break from teaching while we travel. Hopefully we can live our dream of long term travel well into the future!
I can speak Indonesian to a reasonable level, although Susan would argue that I’m not that good. 🙂 But I can have conversations with people about most topics and the conversations can go on for hours as I have often experienced on long Indonesian bus journeys!
Susan can obviously speak fluent English as well as Indonesian and a bit of Sundanese. What language do we use when we talk to each other? 95% English and a little bit of Indonesian. We’ll be moving that more towards 50-50 as time goes by. So, without further ado, here are the countries we have visited so far.
