We quickly move from the Mt. Kaputar National Park to the west where it soon opened up into what we can safely say is called the outback because there is seriously nothing out there. But at the same time, there is so much. One of the great things about this roadtrip was that we got to see a part of Australia that even most Australians don’t see. We got to see what happens when you leave the big city and head west — far west. It was just fantastic.
Lightning Ridge itself was an interesting place and well-worth a look. The town is famous for opal mining and that just opens the door for nutters to move in and that makes the place fantastic! Check the video and see what it’s like!
